So, we didn't publish new work for a while there. But we've changed. We're publishing lots of new things.

Thursday is our day for updates, so please check back on any Thursday — particularly in the first Thursday of each month. We've been striving to update weekly, but it's more like monthly; as we've said elsewhere, our intentions are good, but our time is limited.

Still, people keep visiting the site, and keep submitting work, which suggests 1) that the pieces we publish are worth the wait, and 2) that the ratio of new writers to publications that feature the work of new writers is pretty fucking dismal.

This is why we have not packed it in altogether, though the pace at which we review and respond to submissions and answer our email is something like glacial, which we know gives some people, in the immortal words of David Foster Wallace, the howling fantods.

What we mean to say is: Sorry about the wait. And — dear writers, dear readers — thanks for sticking with us. We aim to return the favor.
